DIY MFOS Delayed Modulation KB
We always recommend visiting the MFOS website before building where the latest 'offical' information and news can be found. Here on the Soundtronics website, you will find selected information from the MFOS site plus additional information and resources to aid the building and maintaining of your MFOS synth. This is not going to happen over-night but during the course of 2014, it will start to take shape as we document our experiences in the construction of these modules. We would also like to include any experiences, hints and tips from customers as well so feel free to contact us or simply post a comment using the form at the foot of this page.
Introduction to the MFOS Delayed Modulation
This module includes an Attack Release envelope generator, Low Frequency Oscillator with square and sine waveforms, and a Voltage Controlled Amplifier. These separate elements are connected in the classic delayed modulation patch such that the LFO is fed to the input of the VCA and the AR generator is connected to the VCA's control input.
Features
- Frees up an envelope generator, LFO, and VCA.
- LFO has sine and square (triangle available) outputs.
- LFO frequency range 1.5 Hz to 500 Hz.
- Design provides lots of modulation options.
- Gated or triggered mode and full AR generator included.
- Sine, Triangle and Square modulation sources.
- Possibilities for use as a drum voice.
- PCB has LFO and AR generator outputs available.
- High and Low output ranges.
- Low chip count.
