Pod PSU 182 Build Guide
Assembly Instructions
The Power Distribution 182 is very different to the main modules but the ‘General Build Info' on a M²Synth Module Assembly’ booklet included is still very relevant.
PCB assembly is straightforward but note the power input socket is mounted to the reverse of the PCB.
We recommend soldering the components is ascending height order as follows:
- Diodes
- 100n capacitors
- 470n capacitors
- Tantalum capacitors
- 12V Voltage regulators
- 10-way headers
- 100u capacitors
- L2
- L1
- Fuse holder
- U21 - pre-assemble heatsink to regulator using supplied fixing. A smear of heatsink compound is advisable
- L3
- J11 power in socket (reverse side of PCB), we suggest soldering this once the insulating and mounting plate is assembled as below.
Assembly consists of mounting the PCB to the mounting plate and insulator using eight M3x8mm screws. The layers of this assembly will only align in one orientation, the cut outs in the insulator align with the trimmed component legs on the PCB.
Calibration
This module requires no calibration or tuning.
